Job Description:Our Saskatchewan-based partner requires the need of a Senior Project Manager, with information technology experience. This Project Manager will manage the implementation of clinically focused information technology projects. This may include managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with many stakeholders and many complex needs.The Project Manager will report to the Director of Connected Care and will provide the required decision and project management support to ensure projects stay on time and on budget with high-quality deliverables. This is a highly visible, busy, and challenging role.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe successful Resource will undertake the subsequent tasks and responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following: - Manage, schedule and coordinate all aspects of the project over the entire project life. - Support an effective, proactive cross-functional project team that may consist of both management and non-management individuals in an environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative, and open communications; promote and model the corporate values. Recognize both personal and team success. - Maintain a high level of competency in project management-related disciplines. - Assist project team members, as required, in the successful project implementation, project planning, project management, change management & transition, and communications. - Monitor and report project progress to the project team, steering committee, and sponsors. - Communicate to all levels of stakeholders of project using an appropriate method of communication in a timely manner. Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the project plan in order to align the stakeholders and team members. - Provide delivery oversight to requirements gathering, detailed design, and future state development; and - Lead, direct, and manage project staff to ensure the effective use of HR resources. - Maximize performance by developing, mentoring, and sustaining a high degree of expertise amongst project staff. - Organize and direct work, including prioritizing.
Required Experience: - Possesses a post-secondary degree in Business Administration or equivalent. - Five (5) years of relevant experience driving project management in a busy, multifaceted environment. - Project management designation such as PMP or equivalent. - Previous experience in managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects. - Previous experience in organizational change management. - Previous experience working in a healthcare and/or research environment. - Previous experience working with the following technologies. - Proven experience utilizing project planning and estimating skills. - Ability to create and manage WBS (work breakdown structures). - Familiarity with current IT platforms and methodologies and understanding how they will be utilized for this role. - Knowledge of IT support environment processes and the use of information systems. - Previous experience working collaboratively with IT and non-IT stakeholders and - Proven ability to work independently or within a team in a fast-paced and, at times, unstructured environment with changing priorities. - Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio). - Skilled at developing presentations, reports, and documentation using all MS Office Suite programs.
