Senior Associate

At Buffalo Agency our Senior Associates keep their finger on the pulse of the industry, media and cultural trends while driving forward our clients’ businesses with hard work, creativity and dedicated enthusiasm. Candidates interested in this role will be PR focused with exposure across all facets of our integrated marketing agency including digital, social media, creative, content, influencer, data and strategy.

Responsibilities:

Role:

• Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their challenging and rapidly shifting competitive environments
• Contribute to creation of communications plans that meet client objectives 
• Maintain regular contact with clients and media; proactively offer and implement new ways to meet client needs
• Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including beautifully designed presentations, compelling press releases, concise fact sheets, key messages, social media content and actionable pitch letters
• Coordinate media relations campaigns, identifying story angles, overseeing list and pitch development, and working directly with media day to day 
• Developing and managing timelines and weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met 
• Anticipating and proactively offering solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs 
• Provide client service administration including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling conversational monitoring reports and competitor coverage, scheduling and logistics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of public relations experience
• Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
• Solid working knowledge of key online/offline media influencers/journalists
• Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
• Fluency and/or familiarity with digital and social media
• Experience building and enhancing relationships with clients from day to day to most senior levels within the organization

Buffalo Agency is headquartered in Reston, Virginia. This position is available to both in office and remote working.
