Overview**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our media & analytic solutions team and continue the fantastic growth that Circana have enjoyed in this important area over the past few years. This is a commercial role focused on unlocking new opportunities and driving new business to grow our media and analytic solutions business. Reporting to the EMEA Solutions Head of Regional Clients, you will work with an account base of Circana’s clients that consist of well-known FMCG household brands identifying opportunities to improve their pricing, promotions, media and assortment strategies – focused on the EMEA regional client level. These are our most sophisticated clients that are looking for a white-glove service in terms of consultative selling, consistency across countries, and strategic insight. **

Main Responsibilities:**

  • Solution Subject Matter Expert: The candidate will be required to become an expert in Circana’s media and analytic solution set (Marketing Mix Modeling and MediaLift in-market testing, but also price and trade modelling, assortment optimisation, and forecasting solutions) with the ability to confidently articulate their benefits with passion and authenticity. The candidate will be expected to update and evolve sales materials creating compelling pitch material and proposals that articulate clear value propositions. They will also support new initiative roll-out through generation of material, launch/education with markets and initiative tracking.
  • Consultative Selling: This is not cold calling, it’s about opportunity identification and conversion based on consultative selling principles. This role is about building relationships with sophisticated CPG clients, developing a thorough understanding of the customers pain points and needs and clearly articulating how Circana’s analytic solution set can help grow their business.
  • Account Management: You will work closely with the Media & Analytics Commercial team and Regional CPG account teams to develop and close a pipeline of opportunities across our manufacturing clients, keeping a sales pipeline up to date, renewing client contracts and instigating sales initiatives to deliver against the annual plan. Assigned clients can vary between local UK, or pan-EMEA regional teams, of leading CPG manufacturers.
  • Industry Expertise: The candidate will be expected to develop credible knowledge and expertise within the FMCG industry and one or more areas of revenue management, marketing mix modelling and/or media effectiveness. They will be expected to keep up to date with the latest industry developments and share knowledge internally with internal account teams and inform and influence product management and marketing initiatives.
  • Facilitation: you will work closely with our Delivery organisation to handover projects once sold, providing commercial support at relevant stages of project lifecycle, attending client meetings as well as identifying cross selling opportunities. It is essential to build a strong relationship with the delivery team to maximise support from across the organisation.
  • Data & Insights: It is important that you are numerate and analytically savvy to build trust and rapport with your prospects. You do not need to be a data scientist, this is not a technical or delivery role, but you should be competent in reviewing and presenting data and insights and familiar with analytical concepts including Circana data assets as your audience will live and breathe data, insights, and analytics. In the end, you are responsible that our project output answers the ingoing client business questions.

Skills and Experience:

This is a role which requires initiative. The role demands drive and focus from someone who wants to work in a constantly evolving environment, helping brands to grow their business, developing and honing their skillset where continual learning is the norm.

  • A strong working knowledge of marketing mix studies and some experience within FMCG would be beneficial
  • Strong experience working in commercial role or someone working in an analytic delivery role with some commercial responsibility who is looking to move fully into a commercial position.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Growth Management/Marketing Effectiveness or Category Management understanding how Media & Analytic solutions support these business units
  • Some commercial experience and familiarity of consultative selling principles
  • Able to translate clients' business questions into project proposals and statements of work detailing goals, project deliverables and parameters for sharing with our delivery organisation
  • Strong analytical skills, experience using analysis, reporting, modelling to gather data for the purpose of making business decisions
  • Strong relationship builder, both internal and external
  • Ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels from analyst to senior positions
  • Excellent planning and organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through, strong presentation experience and presence
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
