Our Engineering Team

Firstbase was set up as a fully remote company from the start. We don’t have a physical office, and our small but mighty team is distributed across North America and Europe. We are makers at heart—whether it's coding, drafting product briefs, or designing, we’re committed to creating high-quality, delightful products. Our remote nature means we value clear, effective written communication for coordinating tasks and discussions across various platforms like Slack and Linear. Decision-making is swift; we aim to advance conversations and reach conclusions quickly.

Salary Range: 160K - 220K USD. (Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed)

Your Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Building delightful customer facing features in our platform.

• Building internal tools to support our Operations and Finance teams.

• Helping to scale our integrations with other HRIS, ITSM and MDM providers.

• Helping to improve infrastructure performance and optimize architecture for scalability.

• Improving observability, monitoring, and alerting systems, ensuring rapid response and minimal downtime in operational incidents.

• Java, Kotlin, Postgres, and Redis

• Internal GraphQL API and Public REST API

• Hosted on AWS with Kubernetes

• Gitlab, Slack, Notion, Retool
