Job description

Role Overview
As Nexoom’s Commercial Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing our commercial strategies.

Your primary responsibility is to secure business growth in a global market, ensuring recurrent revenue streams and opening new markets.

You will further define our commercial model and sales processes while staying updated on market trends to provide strategic advice. With an entrepreneurial mindset and excellent leadership skills, you will be a creative strategist with exceptional organizational abilities.

Your goal is to promote and expand Nexoom’s commercial activities globally, generating revenue and sustainable growth.

Additionally, you will grow our Commercial function by recruiting self-starters who are proactive, autonomous, and capable of working with minimal oversight.

The key is to be hands-on and thrive in a scale-up and remote environment!
Responsibilities
  • Business Growth: Secure new revenue streams in new markets, overseeing demand, and collaborating closely with Marketing, Product, and the CEO.
  • Commercial Strategies: Develop and implement sales funnels, commercial pipelines, and strategies aligned with company goals to accelerate growth.
  • Data Analysis: Review data and reports to identify optimal strategies for meeting company objectives.
  • Strategic Input: Guide new processes or procedures for team and departmental activities.
  • Financial Reporting: Present sales-related financial reports to the management team.
  • Product Commercialisation: Lead the commercialisation of new products and services as the company grows.
  • Customer Feedback: Work with product and marketing teams to analyse customer feedback and establish new sales and marketing practices.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans for commercial opportunities.
  • Client Management: Acquire new customers and manage relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with sales, campaign management, and business development teams to meet revenue targets set with the CEO.
  • Partnerships: Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key clients.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Financial Targets: Assist in setting financial targets and developing and monitoring budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead your team to excel in their roles.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Industry Experience: Essential experience in entertainment, streaming, esports, or gaming industries.
  • Educational Background: BSc/BA in business administration, finance, or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
  • Senior Commercial Role: Proven experience as a senior commercial director or similar role.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills and ability to interact successfully with an existing portfolio of decision-makers.
  • Sales and Marketing: Proven track record in high-value sales, marketing, and managing key client relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading and motivating a commercial team to success.
  • Market Research: In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
