The Opportunity:

Role Overview:

The Lead Analyst, Product Innovation plays a critical role in analyzing and interpreting operational and transactional data to identify opportunities for improvement within the revenue cycle management process. The selected candidate will possess expert level SQL abilities and have worked long-term projects under a Waterfall methodology with multiple areas for fall out. This position is within a Healthcare Revenue Cycle organization and related professional experience will be required for the success of the role. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, and other technology groups, to develop business strategies, and implement solutions that enhance revenue cycle performance. Your insights and recommendations will help Ensemble optimize revenue streams and reduce costs for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, prior authorization, billing, coding, claims processing, payment posting, and AR follow up.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency within the revenue cycle and develop data-driven recommendations for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm opportunities, gather and document business requirements.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization and cost reduction.
  • Prepare and present executive summaries to stakeholders, conveying complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Develop performance metrics and KPIs to track revenue cycle performance and measure the effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to design, implement, and test technology solutions that enhance revenue cycle operations.
  • Understand regulatory compliance and reimbursement policies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting healthcare revenue cycle management, and proactively share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Expert level in MS SQL
  • Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle
  • Long term project mindset- using Waterfall Methodology
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Comp Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Healthcare Management or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5 years+) as a Business Analyst or similar role in the healthcare revenue cycle management domain.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, or statistical software.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, such as EHRs, practice management systems, and billing software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and industry trends, such as HIPAA and value-based reimbursement models.
