Location: Framingham, Massachusetts

Job Type: Contract

Compensation Range: $40 - 45 per hour

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Product Development Designer to join our client's dynamic team for a hybrid, contract opportunity in Framingham, MA! The ideal candidate has a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to transform ideas into marketable products.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute technically accurate artwork for specified product programs.
Collaborate with the Product Development team from concept meetings through artwork execution and prototype processes.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, anticipating potential challenges and devising effective solutions.
Create concept boards and design artwork using freehand sketching, as well as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Select and apply appropriate color palettes, utilizing knowledge of current color and trend information.
Work with overseas vendors (preferred but not required) to ensure design specifications are met.
Stay informed about competitive products and brands to ensure our offerings are market-leading.

Qualifications:

Experience level: Experienced
Degree in Design or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in sketching technical flats and filling them in Adobe Illustrator.
Ability to develop full-size artwork layouts in Adobe Illustrator with detailed call-outs.
Knowledge of garment construction; experience with sweaters is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate and interpret conceptual design ideas clearly.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in trend and color knowledge.
3+ years of experience in Product Development within relevant product categories.
