Salary: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 (USD) Annually

Responsibilities:

  • Automate and optimize cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, scripting repetitive tasks and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Support and enhance the engineering platform and CI/CD pipeline, working with technologies like Azure PaaS, Kubernetes, Docker containers, GitHub, Jenkins, and Octopus.
  • Architect and implement automated solutions to replace manual or inefficient processes, driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide escalated technical guidance and support to other technology teams across the organization, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Improve site reliability by implementing detailed telemetry and monitoring based on leading and trailing indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational policies, adhering to organizational standards for all solutions and activities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvements, developing documentation and runbooks to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide on-call support for IT operations, addressing issues promptly to maintain system uptime and performance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform, and configuration management with Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Golang.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud-based solutions (Azure preferred) including compute, storage, and containerization (Kubernetes).
  • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure IaaS and Windows Server Core/2019+.
  • Solid understanding of Linux server systems administration (e.g., RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).
  • Familiarity with web application technologies such as Azure Web Apps, IIS, and load balancing.
  • Experience with Agile methodology, DevOps practices, Scrum, ITSM, and/or ITIL principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively across teams and sharing knowledge.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based compute, storage, and containerization solutions with a preference for Azure and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in traditional and PaaS web application technologies, including Azure Web Apps, IIS, and application load balancing.
