As Pyypl continues to scale, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to help us scale our platform through the next big growth-phase.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The Junior Frontend Developer plays a integral role in the development of our mobile applications using React Native. They assist in crafting and implementing features on the app, ensuring performance across various devices, contributing to our product’s functionality, and learning to maintain high-quality code through collaborative and test-driven development practices.

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of React Native mobile app architecture and feature solutions.
• Write, optimize, and maintain React Native code, ensuring the app’s performance meets quality standards.
• Actively contribute in continuous improvement activities, such as code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing, to learn and apply best practices in React Native development.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of documentation for both code and processes to ensure smooth collaboration within the team.
• Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues with guidance from senior developers and contribute to devising solutions to these problems.
• Help integrate the React Native app with backend systems, ensuring data consistency, real-time updates, and efficient API calls under the supervision of senior team members.
• Continuously update skills and knowledge by staying abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and updates in the React Native and mobile app development ecosystem.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology - Hold a BS or MSc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent industry qualification.
• Have at least 2+ years of React Native development experience

• Understanding of React best practices and component design principles, with some experience implementing them in projects.

• Familiarity with Debugging & Monitoring tools (Sentry, Crashlytics)
• A strong Testing and QA mindset, curiosity to understand the big picture and end-to-end workflows, and desire to improve all the internal processes.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and experience working in DevOps-focused environments.
• Passion for Products - Demonstrate a genuine passion for mobile app development and creating user-centric products.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, facilitating smooth cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
