**This is a hybrid role (not remote) but can be based in any AUS capital city where CyberCX has an office.**

The role

This role is responsible for driving optimised Security Testing and Assurance (STA) pre-sales and ICT consulting activity delivering compelling solutions and proposals for our customers.

Reporting to the Executive Director – STA, your primary responsibility will be to ensure developed solutions and STA programs of work contained in all proposals are differentiated, deliverable and meet the required commercial hurdles. This role works across with all Practices across CyberCX.


Day to day you will:

  • Drive engagement across CyberCX and Security Testing and Assurance (STA) team in a pre-sales capacity to assist with technical methodology aspects, costing scoping, standardised proposal methodologies, RFQ’s and tenders to position follow on services and roadmaps for STA and CyberCX
  • Engage with customer close out meetings to proactively identify opportunities to increase deal size, future work, win rate, velocity and practice saturation
  • Lead workshops with customers convert ad hoc testing into programs of work and liaise with security vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources
  • Ensure that developed solutions and STA programs of work contained in all proposals are differentiated, deliverable and meet the required commercial hurdles
  • Define pre-sales processes for STA and coach and mentor others on how to better support our clients adopting defined processes
  • Adhere to deal governance processes relating to review / qualification of new opportunities and the quality and compliance of submitted proposals
  • Support the review of incoming leads / opportunities and allocation to the right pre-sales process
  • Drive and embed quality and knowledge management standards and process across all customer materials and artefacts to ensure customer experience, quality and mitigating potential loss of CCX intellectual property
  • Influence and provide subject matter expertise to engagements as required to ensure great customer experience, CyberCX expected quality and profitable outcomes
  • Act as a subject matter expert and technical leader both within STA and externally, representing CyberCX and STA by presenting at industry events on current and emerging STA topics
  • Actively build cross-Practice and cross-Function collaboration with key leaders across CyberCX, and continuously look for ways to add value. Facilitate communication, partnerships and cross-pollination across the business to allow teams to better engage and service customers


Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in information systems, software development or a similar field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Penetration Testing certifications such as SANS, OSCP, CREST CCT (Applications or Infrastructure) or other (preferred but not essential)
  • In depth and advanced technical courses related to your subject matter expertise
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as a STA practitioner / cyber practitioner
  • Seen as an SME in market, with demonstrated prowess on numerous client engagements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to perform the most difficult projects even where they have no prior experience with that exact project type
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with an ability to build credibility with senior leaders and internal working teams
  • Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner
