Billing Consultant - Remote

How you'll add value

The Billing Consultant is responsible for the operational execution of the billing process with a focus on invoice accuracy. Responsibilities include: billing set up for all new deals sold, additional payrolls and additional services sold. The Consultant is responsible for timely responses to billing questions and resolution of billing system errors. The Billing Consultant ensures cash receipts are applied accurately ensuring client balances are properly stated. In addition, this position performs user acceptance testing prior to all billing system releases. The Billing Consultant has primary contact with internal Client Service representatives, Sales Representatives and on occasion with clients.

Duties and Cor Responsibilities

  • Serves as the internal billing system expert by researching and responding to client service requests for information and client inquiries.
  • Identifies and resolves billing system issues and errors within a timely manner.
  • Reviews set up of all clients in the billing system to ensure accuracy of invoices and correct billing for services performed.
  • Reviews and audits customer subscription configuration to troubleshoot issues in supported Paycor Billing Systems
  • Reviews and audits historical pricing, customer amendments, credits and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs individual customer usage audits and uploads to support month-end close process, and able to troubleshoot potential issues with individual customer subscription usage
  • Reviews, monitors and approves billing adjustments; uses sound judgment by appropriately applying and adhering to the company's delegation of authority policy.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Paycor's products, pricing models and billing system configuration. *
  • Performs user acceptance testing prior to system releases by testing new functionality, changes to existing program logic and regression testing.
  • Supports the annual audit process by providing data samples and other billing information as needed.
  • Performs assigned month-end responsibilities that focus on accurate revenue recognition.
  • Assists with the semi-annual price increase process.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred
  • Experience in a system support role including one or more of client service, problem solving, invoicing or billing responsibilities
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel user
  • Understanding of a billing processes
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal & communication skills
  • Demonstrated accountability for a high degree of accuracy
  • General understanding of system configuration and data base structure
  • Knowledge of Paycor products and pricing strongly preferred

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. In addition to base pay, $48,600 - $77,784 Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on the position.
