Allwyn North America is headquartered in Chicago, and currently operates the Illinois Lottery under a private management agreement while seeking other opportunities throughout the U.S.  We also provide products and services to lotteries and their players throughout Europe and the United States.

Position Overview:

Within Allwyn North America, the SEnior Product Insights Manager is responsible for supporting the business in delivering consumer insights that inform commercial, category and brand strategies to enable the delivery of commercial objectives.

Additionally, helps to establish the Illinois Lottery brand to be a champion of the people of Illinois, through delivering - Fun Games, Create Winners, Support Causes. Powering possibilities across the Illinois Lottery product portfolio is a key driver to delivering for the people of Illinois.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive end-to-end research projects focused on product innovation, concept testing, post-product launch performance assessment, and business development in the Illinois market and beyond.
  • Integrate and synthesize data from primary and secondary sources to provide actionable insights that answer critical business questions.
  • Partner with members of the insights, product, and analytics teams to link market research outcomes with transactional metrics, offering a 360-degree view of customer interactions and preferences.
  • Develop and refine repeatable methodologies for insights generation, prioritizing efficiency and quality in all research activities.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for improvements in research processes and methodologies, enhancing the insights function’s capabilities and contributions to the business.
  • Communicate insights to strategic decision-makers within the company, ensuring that data-driven guidance informs business strategies and tactical plans.
  • Act as the consumer’s advocate within the company, ensuring that customer perspectives and needs are at the forefront of product development and brand strategy.
  • Work closely with the Director of Insights to prioritize business questions and manage research requests effectively.
  • Undertake ad hoc custom research projects as required to address specific business challenges or opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of vendor relationships, including negotiation of contracts and oversight of budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clearly define research objectives, ensuring that all projects align with annual and long-term business objectives. 
  • Build and maintain positive, effective relationships with key stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances project outcomes and business impact.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or other related fields.
  • 5-7 years of experience in conducting consumer research
  • Expertise in managing end-to-end quantitative and qualitative market research studies
  • Demonstrated project management acumen, with the ability to balance multiple project timelines at once
  • Ability to take insights and turn them into actionable recommendations
  • Experience in concept testing and product innovation
  • Experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, or other survey programming platforms
  • Experience with SPSS, SQL, Tableau or other statistical analysis/visualization software
  • Proficient with producing reports in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Background in data analytics
  • Ability to articulate insights to any size or level of audience 
  • Ability to foster relationships and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Innately curious and growth mindset-oriented
  • Self-starter who enjoys solving ambiguous problems

Preferred:

  • Industry experience in lotteries, casinos, sports betting, VGTs, or mobile apps is a plus.
  • Proven experience improving processes, bringing new ideas to the table, and/or growing the scope of your insights function
  • Strong commercial awareness and proven experience of incorporating financial awareness and business implications into strategic recommendations derived from holistic insight.
  • Experience working within the Microsoft Suites and/or Google Suite technologies.
  • Courage in decision-making and comfortable taking risks
