About the role
The Data Engineering team acts as a central hub for transforming raw data into meaningful one and managing them as well. We are a small team of data professionals who uses their expertise in data engineering and programming to build systems that collect, manage and convert raw data into usable information for business analysts. We don't shy away from getting our hands dirty whenever it comes to anything data and we demand critical and collaborative debate when tackling problems.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a data engineer you will be responsible for developing and managing curated datasets, key business metrics, and reporting.
  • You will architect and implement data models and #ETLs for reporting. This includes ingestion of data from various source (MySQL, PostGres, MongoDB, etc) to BigQuery Data Lake then further transforming data using DBT for reporting purpose.
  • You should be a self-starter and you are comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams across Savii.

  • Must-have qualifications
  • 5-8 Years data proficiency of SQL querying and ETL jobs
  • Experience with DBT or Airflow 
  • Experience with data warehouse technology - big query, redshift etc.
  • Proficiency using Google Sheets, meta base or similar BI visualization tools
  • Experience using Python, Airflow, other scripting languages to automate data retrieval, manipulation and analysis
  • Curiosity and strong ability to drive insights from data – synthesizing not only what is happening by why it is happening
  • Work well in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly-changing environment
  • Experience on data modeling and workflow
  • Experience on the deployment of data pipelines
  • Experience on infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience on access management, data security and compliance
  • Experience with Github or Bitbucket

  • Nice-to-have qualifications
  • Experience with payments, financial data, accounting, or auditing
  • Experience in startup environment
  • Experience with Google Cloud
