Job description

Location: Fully Remote

Schedule: 10 hours per week

Berry Street Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director (MD/DO) to provide leadership, oversee committees, and drive our mission of delivering exceptional care to our clients. As Clinical Director, you will work closely with the executive team and support clinical staff to ensure that Berry Street Health’s services align with evidence-based practices. You will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and the overall clinical experience for both our providers and clients. You will found and build a team of supervising physicians specializing in medical weight loss.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership:
    • Provide expert clinical guidance and leadership to our team of registered dietitians (RDs) and healthcare providers.
    • Oversee committees focused on clinical care, quality improvement, and compliance.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement clinical strategies that align with our mission.
  • Provider Support & Collaboration:
    • Serve as a key resource for providers, offering mentorship, and clinical supervision as needed.
    • Ensure that all providers are practicing in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and state regulations.
    • Lead case reviews and provide input on complex cases when necessary.
  • Patient Care & Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct virtual medical appointments and provide inclusive and evidence-based care for patients.
    • Monitor patient requests and respond when needed.
    • Collaborate with care teams to assess the quality of care being delivered to clients.
    • Support initiatives to improve patient outcomes, reduce conflicts, and enhance client satisfaction.
    • Implement and oversee clinical workflows to streamline patient care and optimize provider efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active medical licenses in multiple states.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with clinical guidelines, healthcare regulations, and patient care protocols.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborative work within the committee.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in team management and multi-state clinical operations.
  • Experience in clinical leadership, especially within telehealth, dietetics, or wellness services is a plus.
  • Previous experience serving on clinical committees or in a clinical review capacity is preferred.
