Overview:

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Capture Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. As a Capture Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing capture strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the entire capture process from opportunity identification to proposal submission.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Opportunity Evaluation:
  • Conducts thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities
  • Assesses competitive landscapes and analyze industry trends to inform capture strategies
  • Evaluates and prioritizes potential opportunities based on strategic fit, risk factors, and alignment with organizational capabilities
  • Capture Strategy Development:
    • Collaborates with key stakeholders to formulate effective capture strategies aligned with organizational goals
    • Defines win themes, discriminators, and value propositions to differentiate our offerings
  • Bid/No-Bid Decision:
    • Leads bid/no-bid decision processes, considers factors such as risk, resource availability, and alignment with corporate objectives
  • Competitive Intelligence:
    • Gathers and analyzes intelligence on competitors, providing insights to enhance the company’s competitive positioning
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Works closely with sales, business development, technical, and proposal teams to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to capture efforts
    • Foster collaboration and communication across departments to maximize expertise and resources.
  • Proposal Development:
    • Oversees the preparation of compelling proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and alignment with capture strategies
    • Provides strategic input and guidance to proposal teams throughout the development process
    • Leads and participates in gate reviews/color team reviews to assess progress, make bid/no-bid decisions, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Risk Mitigation:
    • Identifies and assesses potential risks associated with specific opportunities, developing risk mitigation strategies to enhance the probability of success
    • Ensures adherence to all relevant government regulations and compliance standards
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
    • Collaborates with finance and leadership to develop capture budgets and allocate resources effectively for pursuit efforts
  • Proposal Pricing Strategy:
    • Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop competitive and compliant pricing for proposal efforts
  • Post-Award Transition:
    • Maintains accurate and complete documentation for all capture activities, ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures
    • Facilitates a smooth transition from the capture phase to contract implementation, ensuring continuity and customer satisfaction
    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
    • Proven experience in capture management within the government contracting industry
    • Strong understanding of government procurement processes
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Demonstrated success in winning and managing large-scale, complex contracts.
