Job Summary

Unites a diverse and market-leading product suite and implements efficient and elegant enterprise solutions that will delight clients and set industry standards. Plays a key role as a hands-on-front-end architect. Helps define technology solutions, direction and roadmap for the Front-End Development team.


Key Responsibilities

1. Drives roadmap for front-end technology modernization through creation of repeatable patterns and identifying modernization opportunities in the OEC technology radar.

2. Collaborates closely with stakeholders to bring innovative design concepts to life. Works with global product teams, evangelizing the key design principles and guide with implementation into OECs products

3. Assists leadership with inspiring and mentoring the front-end development team to achieve excellence in code quality and design implementation.

4. Creates a uniform routing strategy to ensure seamless navigation and cohesive user experience across a diverse product suite. Builds out best practices to create shared components to minimize duplication and minimize dependencies between micro-front ends to prevent tight coupling.

5. Ensures applications are optimized for peak performance, scalability, and maintainability.

6. Stays ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation in front-end architecture.

7. Implements solutions that exceed client expectations, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement. Enables independent deployments to increase delivery of product features to our customers.


Education

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.


Experience

At least 7 years of experience in software development to include demonstrated experience leading one or more integration platform implementations, a successful track record with software engineering substantially focused on highly scalable web/mobile SaaS, and at least 5 years of work experience interacting directly with tech leadership and product management to define, deliver, and execute on multiple projects.


Work background must include the following technical experience:

· Strong experience with modern UI frameworks

· Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5 and CSS

· Experience with DOM, Web APIs, .NET Core, and NPM

· Proficiency in modern build tools (Webpack and Vite)

· Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Jest


Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

· Collaborative approach to working within and across teams.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Able to drive work forward in a proactive and self-directed manner.

· Comfortable providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to junior-level team members.

· Flexible and adaptable approach to work and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.

· Able to effectively work and thrive in a remote/hybrid work environment that has limited opportunities for in-person interactions.
