Inspired by the lush & varied landscapes of California, we looked to our own desert regions to locally source prickly pear cactus fruit, known for its rare & potent healthful properties. We applied our creativity and resourcefulness to bring CALIWATER to life with our first product, Prickly Pear Cactus Water. It’s like sipping on Cali in a can!

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Operations to join the Caliwater team. You'll will lead supply chain and operations efforts to help us rapidly scale across retail, DTC, and food service channels. You'll get the opportunity to work closely with founders and leadership, with significant career growth potential. You’ll play a crucial part in supporting the company’s vision for growth, with an entrepreneurial team passionate about innovation.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Oversee Demand Planning to guarantee supply while the brand rapidly scales across various channels, e.g. Retails, On-Premise, DTC, Food Service, etc.
• Maintain inventory reports weekly for all warehouse locations, including sampling.
• Responsible for sourcing, planning, and overseeing all aspects of beverage production.
• Manage movement of Caliwater from production to various 3PL partners and then onto end customer via Freight and Parcel services.
• Build and maintain relationship with vendors to negotiate best pricing, guarantee supply and source highest quality ingredients/materials.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for cost savings and/or improvements in operational efficiencies.
• Develop SOPs to support efficiency and improve communication across channels.
• Become an integral member of the Caliwater team, leading all aspects of operations and logistics, supporting leaderships vision for growth, and regularly hitting timelines.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the business P&L.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain management primarily with a CPG brand in the F&B industry.
• Proficient in GSuite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience using Shopify, ShipStation, various WMS and other DTC software tools.
• Experience managing Co-Packers, 3PL’s, Vendors, Freight brokers and negotiating pricing.
• Experience with UNFI, KeHE, DPI and DSD distributors.
• Expert in Excel and other software tools utilized for planning.
• Proven experience with high-growth brands preferred and success working with cross functional teams.
• Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.
• Must be able to travel to production facilities and warehouses when needed.
• Innovative and eager to work in a team with a disruptive mindset.
