Job description

ERP Solutions Architect

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ERP Solutions Architect with a solid track record in ERP implementation, customization, and integration. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing end-to-end ERP solutions across the organization, primarily focusing on the successful delivery of ERP initiatives that align with business goals. You will work closely with various business and technology stakeholders to ensure ERP systems are implemented and optimized to support organizational efficiency, scalability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive ERP solution architectures that align with business requirements and technical standards.
  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and efficient ERP solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Design and document solution architecture, data flows, and integration patterns across core ERP modules (e.g., Finance, HR, Supply Chain).

Project Delivery & Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end ERP project delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design to deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to established budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and system administrators, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Partner with business stakeholders and department leads to understand their needs, translate them into ERP requirements, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the ERP project lifecycle.

ERP Customization & Integration

  • Oversee customization and configuration efforts within the ERP system to meet specific business requirements.
  • Lead integration efforts between ERP and other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow and operational continuity.
  • Define and enforce data governance and integration standards within ERP ecosystems.

Solution Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and oversee test strategies for ERP implementations to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT, and defect management processes to guarantee a smooth implementation.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices in testing and quality assurance methodologies.

Technical Leadership & Guidance

  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to development and functional teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging ERP technologies, trends, and best practices, advising the organization on opportunities for improvements.
  • Establish and maintain ERP solution best practices, including security, compliance, and scalability considerations.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of solution architectures, integration patterns, configurations, and testing protocols.
  • Ensure ERP implementations meet regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX), working closely with risk management teams.
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation to internal and external auditors.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years in ERP solution design, architecture, and project delivery with experience in end-to-end implementations.
  • ERP Expertise: Extensive knowledge of major ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday) and modules such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain.
  • Project Management: Strong delivery focus with experience in agile, waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies; PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, integration middleware, APIs, and other tools for data migration, process automation, and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to evaluate and enhance ERP solutions based on evolving business needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management and executive reporting.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements relevant to ERP implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: ERP-specific certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Solution Architect, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Solutions Architect).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
