What You Will Do

  • Provide tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters. Representing clients for IRS notice responses, penalty abatement requests, and other IRS negotiations.
  • Advocate on clients' behalf before IRS collections and all 50 state tax agencies
  • Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for consideration
  • Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • EA Required. Must have a PTIN.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-6 or more years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance services or equivalent government agency. Previous experience in tax advocacy or controversy a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and comfortably interact with both internal and external clients on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills

For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $74,410 to $130,880. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
