Job description

Objective: Design scalable, secure systems, automate AWS infrastructure, optimize costs, and mentor engineering teams on best practices for efficiency and performance.Key Responsibilities

  1. System Design: Architect scalable, reliable systems to support various applications securely.
  2. Infrastructure Automation: Use tools like AWS CDK, Pulumi, and CloudFormation to automate infrastructure setup and management, making it consistent and maintainable.
  3. Development Tool Integration: Work with software build tools like Gradle, Maven, and React Native to integrate them into the broader system architecture.
  4. AWS Optimization: Design AWS environments that are secure, high-performance, and cost-efficient, aligning with business needs.
  5. Scripting and Automation: Write scripts in Python (or similar languages) and manage large-scale operations using Unix commands like sed, awk, and grep.
  6. Technology Evaluation: Assess new tools and techniques, presenting insights and recommendations to leadership and teams.
  7. Documentation and Mentorship: Document architectural decisions using Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and mentor teams on best practices in design and automation.
  8. Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with product and software teams to build data infrastructure that supports real-time and AI-driven applications.

Key Skills

  • AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
  • Automation and Coding: Experience with Python, AWS CDK, Pulumi, and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
