⭐️ this is a full-time 100% work from home, Independent Contractor role for someone based in the Manila metro market ⭐️

The company: You’ll be working with a woman-owned US based company specializing in selling construction supplies, power tools and rental equipment. 

While the company has a 30+ year legacy in the industry, they’ve only recently launched their online store as another addition to their extensive portfolio.

Job role: As an Shopify ECommerce Specialist, you’ll help shape the clients online retail presence. You will manage the Shopify store, optimize product listings, establish content strategy, build brand awareness, foster engagement and generate leads. You will bring the brand's online shop and digital presence to life!

Your role is crucial in crafting compelling product narratives that resonate with our the audience. You’ll also streamline operations through smart integrations and automations, ensuring a seamless customer experience from browsing to purchase.

As the first hire in this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping leading day-to-day administration of the Shopify account and marketing strategy from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the leadership team to build and execute a retail marketing strategy that will drive brand awareness the business scales.

In this role you will:

  • ECommerce Expertise: Oversee and optimize all aspects of the Shopify store, including product listings, inventory management, and order processing.
  • Content Creation: Develop and execute high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, including blogs, websites, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc!), email campaigns, and more.
  • SEO & Organic Growth: Own SEO strategy, conducting keyword research, implementing on-page SEO, and identifying opportunities to improve traffic through organic and paid search.
  • Build Processes & Best Practices: Develop and manage scalable and repeatable processes across eCommerce and marketing platforms.  Implement and manage integrations between Shopify and other platforms to enhance operational efficiency
  • Provide top-notch customer service support via email
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor content performance using analytics tools and iterate on strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Stay ahead of e-commerce trends and Shopify updates to maintain a competitive edge!
  • Jump in on special projects and help with research and data when needed.

About you:

  • Legally eligible to work in the Philippines.
  • Strong fluency in verbal and written English.
  • As an independent contractor, you must have your own laptop / computer and secure, high speed internet access.
  • 4+ years in a eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Social Media role (or similar).
  • Proven track record in Shopify store management and optimization
  • Experience with eComm retention tools such as Klaviyo and Mailchimp.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Expertise in various creative tools including Canva and Figma.
  • Experience with SEO best practices, keyword research, and on-page optimization.
  • Bonus points: experience working with start-up businesses.

The details:

  • Role type: Independent Contractor
  • Location: Work from home - 100% fully remote (from the Philippines)
  • Working schedule: Full-time approx 40 hrs per week, 9:00am - 6:00pm NYC time zone (EST)
  • Hourly rate: PHP ₱400 per hour starting rate, depending on experience
