Job description

Head of DACH Institutional Sales

This is a great job for a senior sales individual to lead the institutional business in the DACH region.

A bit about the job:

In this role you will be proactively heading the institutional sales activities across the DACH region. You will need to work collaboratively and effectively with the Continental European team and corporate headquarters in London, so that the business can achieve the growth ambitions in line with agreed objectives. Your main responsibility will be to create a regional sales and business plan, driving activity to increase net new revenues and assets under management. Alongside this you will also need to support and lead client and prospect pitches, communications, PR, marketing, and representation of Aviva Investors at conferences and local industry events.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Private and public markets distribution experience.

  • Deep understanding of key investor challenges and needs across institutional client segments such as pensions, insurance, and other institutions (not only investment-related but also tax, regulatory, operational etc).

  • A comprehensive existing network of relationships amongst the target client base.

  • Fluent English and German. French desirable.

  • Commitment to meeting the expected level of client/prospect activities and keeping appropriate client meeting and opportunity pipeline records, ensuring Salesforce records are updated promptly and accurately.

 In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
