Role Description:
You will play a vital role at Nomad Capitalist in daily operations alongside our Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic planning, team management, financial oversight, operational improvements and system modernization, an ability to make data-driven decisions, and commitment to fostering a culture of accountability and consistency to assure our customer service starts from the inside out. The role requires a values-based and solution-oriented leader who works closely with senior leadership and all departments across the organization. You would be working 100% remotely with some occasional travel through the year to our office if required.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the structure, cooperating closely and direct reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Overseeing departments and direct reporting from: Research and Strategy, HR, Client success, Marketing and Finance.
- Research and Strategy, HR, Client success, Marketing and Finance departments will be under your direct supervision and you will have the full responsibility and accountability for those.
- Sales and Business Development department would be dooted to you.
- Assist the Chief Operating Officer in providing overall operational leadership of the organization in formulating and achieving objectives in areas such as human resources, staff and building security, Finance, risk management, litigation, Client success, contracting, events, and asset-tracking;
- Close cooperation with the Chief Operating Officer is needed to establish, develop, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for divisions that generate effective and efficient outcomes. This may include defining the workflow of processes to ensure efficient execution of work.
- Support the Chief Operating Officer in spearheading the development, recommendation, implementation, and communication of new or revised systems, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer in developing and implementing short-range and long-range goals and business plans, along with measures of effectiveness, ensuring proper internal controls and procedures.
- Provide counsel to the Chief Operating Officer on significant matters affecting internal and external operations and policies, including major organizational events.
- Provide direct support to and monitor activities of assigned departments to ensure conformance with goals and objectives of reporting unit and eliminate impediments to peak performance;
- Gather, investigate, research, analyse, and/or study policy matters impacting or otherwise relevant to Countries and/or Nomad Capitalist operations.
- Research, write, edit, and/or coordinate preparation of special reports, briefings and presentations; craft and edit messages, letters and other communications on behalf or in close cooperation with the Chief Operating Officer.
- Support the Chief Operating Officer with briefing materials, talking points, and other preparations for meetings if necessary.
- Manage multiple projects at the same time, track project statuses including analyze and report for each overseeing department and provide the Chief Operating Officer and executive leadership with regular updates on project status, as well as engage the Chief Operating Officer and other partners to drive projects forward and meet project milestones.
- Completes other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
- Minimum 7 years of related professional responsibility, such as managing strategic projects, operations, teams, or divisions.
- Minimum 5 years of Management experience
- Demonstrate organizational skills; strong project management experience; ability to manage and execute multiple priorities at the same time; ability to meet challenging work deadlines;
- Ability to prioritize among conflicting demands and strategic thinking.
- Experience with developing an understanding of complex matters and effective communication with board/C-level.
- Experience with addressing complex situations and working through to practical, feasible, effective solutions, often under constrained timelines.
- Demonstrated experience developing policies and procedures, documenting workflows, and identifying and leading the implementation of organization improvement.
- Ability to demonstrate good administrative and supervisory skills.
- Strong interpersonal relation skills. Must be able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy and keep high confidentiality.
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and implement program, service delivery, or other operational changes with close cooperation with the Chief Operating Officer.
- Experience within HR environment would be beneficial, however it’s not part of our requirement.
