This team is responsible for developing the marketing strategy to succeed with our largest customers in our largest business segment. Your work in this role will have a tangible impact on Seagate’s success and your contribution will be highly visible.

About the role - you will:

As a Cloud Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in forecasting the hard disk drive demand of our largest market segment. In this exciting role, you will:

  • Maintain and Enhance Predictive Models: Work with and improve our predictive models to accurately forecast future storage demand in the CSP industry.
  • Research Demand Drivers: Identify and analyze the factors that drive CSP storage demand, seeking out correlated data sources.
  • Develop Innovative Forecasting Approaches: Create new methods and techniques to enhance the accuracy and reliability of our forecasts.
  • Identify New Information Sources: Seek out and integrate new data sources that can improve our forecasting models. 
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Conduct data validation by gathering inputs beyond procurement and technical resources to ensure accuracy and reliability. 
  • Support Strategic Decisions: Provide valuable insights that help management answer key questions and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various departments to align our strategies with market trends and customer needs.
  • Drive Innovation: Contribute to projects that shape the future of data storage solutions and the cloud industry.

About you:

Your experience includes:

  • Analytical Skills: Proven knowledge of analytic techniques and experience with tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, noSQL or similar.
  • Research Skills: Ability to identify and analyze new data sources and trends.
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in creating insightful and impactful visual representations of data.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

 

You might also have:

  • Data Modeling Experience: Familiarity with predictive modeling and forecasting methods.
  • Programming: Proficiency with languages such as Python or R and associated libraries for data analytics and visualization.
  • Data Sourcing: Web-scraping to collect online data and large-scale database access.

The estimated base salary range for this position: $68,473 - $97,904. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
