About Visana Health

Visana Health is a virtual women's health clinic offering comprehensive clinical care and holistic support for women. We are redesigning women's healthcare by bringing a patient-centered human touch to care for complex conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, heavy menstrual bleeding, and more. 

We are seeking an independent contractor Supervising Physician for a few hours a month to join our team and oversee our nurse practitioners licensed in Georgia, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

About the Job

The Supervising Physician will collaborate and provide clinical oversight (with support from the Chief Medical Officer) to our nurse practitioners licensed in Georgia. This role involves ensuring quality care and adherence to our medical protocols. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to patient-centered care. 

This is a contract position.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to the nurse practitioner(s)

  • Review and approve treatment plans and patient care strategies developed by the NP(s)

  • Ensure compliance with our medical standards and protocols, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based care in women’s health

  • Stay current with advancements in women's health and incorporate new knowledge into practice

The clinical team prioritizes the following: 

  1. A trauma-informed approach to care: we listen more than we speak, we validate our patient's experience, and we believe what they tell us 

  1. Striking a patient-centered balance between evidence-based care, patient preferences and values, and investment in long-term patient outcomes 

  1. Diversity amongst the clinical team  

Qualifications
  • Physically residing in Georgia 

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree

  • Board certification in primary care or gynecology or related field

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Georgia

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
