Cloud Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) with AI Expertise

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security SME with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our team. This role will focus on ensuring robust system security across various operations, including systems development, security testing, design, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS environments, security best practices, and the deployment of cloud security technologies. Additionally, expertise in leveraging AI for security automation, incident detection, and advanced threat analysis is a key part of this role. You will be responsible for systems hardening, vulnerability testing, alert creation, incident response, and security policy development, while integrating AI techniques to improve the security posture. You will also provide expert analysis on cybersecurity features, integrating new architectural features into existing infrastructures, and supporting security initiatives across the organization.

• Ensure system security is maintained for operations development, security testing, certification and accreditation, vulnerability testing, log analysis, alert creation, and incident response.
• Design, implement, and integrate security features into existing infrastructures, ensuring alignment with cloud security best practices and AI-powered security tools.
• Leverage AI and machine learning to automate threat detection, identify anomalies, and optimize incident response workflows.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
• Analyze and evaluate security features, relating existing systems to future trends, and providing recommendations for improvements, particularly in the context of AI-enhanced security.
• Develop, deploy, and operate cloud security technologies in AWS environments, including CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Security Hub, and Systems Manager.
• Integrate forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, using AI-based models for faster detection and root cause analysis.
• Lead and provide technical/management oversight on major tasks, establishing goals and plans that align with project objectives.
• Supervise and mentor team members, offering guidance and support in delivering AI-enabled cloud security solutions.
• Interface with clients and senior management to ensure alignment with security goals, providing recommendations and status updates.
• Stay up to date on advancements in AI technologies, machine learning models, and cybersecurity, integrating these innovations into the security framework

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security or a related domain.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments, including but not limited to AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Security Hub, and Systems Manager.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and their implementation within cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with vulnerability testing, penetration testing, and security assessments.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying security solutions in an AWS/C2S cloud environment.
• Proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages for cloud security automation and AI integration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, for applying machine learning in security.
• Knowledge of data science techniques for threat analysis and incident response automation.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, manage tasks, and direct activities to ensure project objectives are met.

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Specialty).
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
• Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
• Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) or other advanced security certifications.
• Experience with AI-based threat detection platforms, anomaly detection, or automated incident response systems.
• Expertise in industry-standard virtualized networking components and security features.
• AI Skills & Competencies:
• Experience in applying AI and machine learning models to detect cybersecurity threats, improve security operations, and automate response protocols.
• Expertise in developing AI-driven systems for security event analysis, alert prioritization, and forensic analysis.
• Strong understanding of how AI technologies can be applied to network traffic analysis, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in AI/ML model training, tuning, and evaluation within security contexts.
• Ability to design and integrate AI-based security features into existing cloud infrastructures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess security threats through AI and machine learning perspectives.

• Active DOD SECRET Clearance required
