Job Title: Remote Financial Investment Analyst (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $2,200 - 2,500 USD/month

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Mountain Time

Our client is an alternative investment management firm that was founded in 2009 to invest primarily in distressed, unique, and special situation opportunities in the municipal market and related sectors, including investments in both the primary and secondary markets. Their investment professionals have decades of experience in distressed investment strategies across a diverse range of industries, sectors, and asset classes.

Job Overview:

We are seeking the addition of an Investment Analyst to our client's portfolio management team. The Investment Analyst will work directly with Directors and Managing Directors to support the life cycle of the company's investments. The ideal candidate will have an acumen for problem solving, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. The majority of the Investment Analyst’s time will be dedicated to investment due diligence and asset management, though not exclusively.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative initial investment screening;
  • Assist in review of prospective investment materials, public filings, and other available information and present findings and recommendations;
  • Support the investment team with in-depth due diligence on potential investments, including financial, operational, and legal aspects of the investment;
  • Develop and maintain financial models in Microsoft Excel for investment and valuation purposes;
  • Assist in developing investment memoranda, financial models, and presentation materials;
  • Monitor and report on monthly performance of investments;
  • Conduct market and industry research on potential investments and the current portfolio; and
  • Support the firm’s senior investment professionals with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

  • 3+ years of experience in a finance position
  • Strong financial and qualitative skills with experience in financial modeling
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative and self-direction
  • Quick learner and intellectually curious
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
