Who will you be joining?
Global Sustainability is a team in Allianz SE (the holding company of Allianz group) which provides thought leadership and steering for E, S, G-related topics and drives business integration of sustainability across Allianz lines of business and operating entities.
Within Global Sustainability, the team "social regulation and business",
- Develops business propositions and public-private partnerships for social impact together with relevant Allianz entities
- Leads strategic work on climate adaptation
- Leads the global implementation of human rights due diligence, especially in own operations and supply chains
- Advises relevant functions on all social regulatory topics, including those related to CSRD and CSDDD implementation
- Looks after other sustainability-related tasks, including sustainability ratings and NGO dialogues.
How can you make an impact?
We are looking for a full-time intern for six months.
As an intern, you will:
- Conduct research, for example on climate adaptation and inclusive insurance products
- Carry out benchmark analysis, case studies on sustainability related matter (e.g. performance)
- Support closely our team members in project management-related activities
- Assist in the preparation of reports, briefs, and presentations
- Be an integral member of the Global Sustainability team, with plenty of learning opportunities
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Masters or PhD student and residing in Germany during the full duration of the internship (6 months)
- Studies in sustainability, social sciences, finance economics or other relevant subject
- Prior knowledge about climate adaptation, or micro insurance or other relevant sustainability issues is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) in English; knowledge of German is highly welcome
- Ability to deliver to deadlines; ability to interact with top managers in a corporate environment
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 (Teams, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)

- Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

- Strong ability to think and act independently, to quickly adapt to new problem
- Settings and situations, with a focus in problem-solving skills
- Solid data management and analytical skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Proactive, flexible and energetic team player with a personal interest in sustainability issues
- Ideally you have already gained first practical experience in the fields of finance, sustainability, project management, consulting and/or communications
