As a Data Architect will be responsible for helping the Endeavour Group IT build up its architecture practice, not limited to but including its Information Management and Analytics practice with a focus on data/analytics products, applications and services. You will be involved in developing target state architecture and roadmaps for enterprise and digital platforms and systems.

Partner with Practice/Chapter Leads and platform teams in establishing standards and Contribute to the formulation of guidelines with specific focus on applications and products within Advanced Analytics and ensure alignment to Enterprise architecture
Provide architectural services to AA Product teams for

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Responsible for building end-to-end solution design for products and applications within Advanced analytics.

  • Partnering with business, engineering and product stakeholders to determine system requirements and designing fit-for-purpose solutions 

  • Be a key contributor to the Architecture peer group(with Data Architects and EA)  supporting Advanced Analytics with their strategy and roadmap 

  • Design solutions for new initiatives/enhancements with a focus on simplicity and operational integration.

  • Review, assessment and governance of  application/product solution designs for conformance to architecture principles throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Diagnose and solve architecture and management problems and issues that may arise.

  • Act autonomously in dealing with identified issues or deviance from standards.

  • Work with Data Governance, Cyber security, Platform teams and Risk and Portfolio Offices to implement engagement processes to capture and track issues raised from assessments in project registers and risk register for delivered risk with respect to the product/application designed.

  • Support the adoption of target-state architecture by executing on the strategy for enterprise and digital platforms and systems.

  • Alignment to architecture standards and principles to ensure solution decisions are made consistently across the enterprise and in the context of target architectures.

  • Improve application/product performance through enterprise solutions and capabilities ,Application data security and access control designs

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications (i.e. TOGAF)

  • Proven experience in a Senior Solution Architect role , experience gained within large, complex environments

  • Previous experience working within Retail is highly regarded

  • Experience or background in data/information management , Analytics, ML and/or data services solution

  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills  

  • Understand and adhere to data governance policies and privacy regulations, ensuring consistent compliance.

  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with an ability to negotiate and influence 

  • Proven ability to consult and provide advice to internal stakeholders

  • Experience in the development of architectures and data models for complex systems (conceptual, logical and physical)

  • Solid understanding in database design, including conceptualisation to database optimisation

  • Knowledge of data migration and engineering patterns over on-premise source systems and cloud-hosted platforms

  • Excellent understanding of relational database technologies (SQL Server, Aurion, DB2, etc.) and cloud analytics (GCP, Azure, AWS,)

  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments, with knowledge of CI-CD tools

  • Direct experience with GCP and Azure Cloud
