Job description

Job Overview: 

The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate distribution of music releases to Digital Service Providers (DSPs) for GYROgroup’s customers. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is capable of processing and reviewing approximately 100-120 releases per day while adhering to strict quality standards. The Quality Control Specialist will also collaborate across teams to address delivery issues, improve the artist experience, and reduce streaming fraud.This full-time position provides a taxable salary with government-mandated contributions, ensuring you receive all the benefits of regular employment.

Job Description
  • Provide efficient distribution service to all customers.
  • Efficiently manage the processing of pending releases, aiming to complete an output of approximately 100-120 releases per day while maintaining accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Possess comprehensive and up to date understanding of metadata style guides.
  • Translating these standards to the review process to ensure a high level of accuracy in processing releases to DSPs.
  • Process and deliver music releases daily to ensure timely distribution to DSPs.
  • Identify and resolve any delivery errors or issues found during the review of pending releases.
  • Communicate with the Artist Support team to provide them with accurate and timely updates on releases and reviews, ensuring they can offer artists the best possible guidance.
  • Collaborate with the royalties and rights management teams to reduce streaming fraud and infringing upload activity through regular reporting and utilising reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with the Distro Direct and A+R & Streaming Partnerships team to ensure priority releases are handled with care to elevate artist experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of G Suite applications, including Sheets and Docs, with the ability to use these tools effectively for data management, communication, and documentation
  • Content Management System (CMS) Mastery: Strong aptitude for learning and mastering complex Content Management Systems, both internal and external, ensuring smooth navigation and efficient content processing.
  • Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Must communicate well with colleagues, share insights, and contribute to group efforts.
  • Time Management: Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with change and able to adapt to new processes, tools, and responsibilities as needed.
