We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with OpenShift to work for a European Public Agency, in Strasbourg, France.
Your role :
- Design the architecture, installation, and configuration of a bare-metal OCP cluster.
- Design the architecture of the components of IBM’s Cloud Pak for Data, to be installed upon the OCP cluster.
- Day 1 and Day 2 support to the different Cloud Pak for Data services, from the perspective of scalability, node tainting and tolerations, number of pods, network traffic, node ports, proxies, storage classes and access, persistent volumes and configurations, custom user roles and single sign on (SSO).
- Integration of the OCP cluster with already existing infrastructure, at network, storage, and backup levels.
- Ensuring high availability, backup and restore, performance, alerting, monitoring, and scalability of OpenShift deployments.
- Establishing best practices and guidelines for the deployment and management of OpenShift environments.
- Installation (automated with IBM Cloud Pak for Data Deployer) and integration of the components of the Cloud Pal for Data.
Your profile:
- Expertise on Red Hat OpenShift, including installation options, configuration, management, and administration post installation.
- Experience with OpenShift Data Foundation storage as software solutions and its integration with OpenShift.
- In depth knowledge on network design and architecture, such as: load balancers, firewalls, DNS, subnet layouts and network policies.
- Proficient in automation tools (like Ansible, Terraform) and good scripting experience in scripting languages (such as Bash, Python).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (such as Grafana, Prometheus).
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (like Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
- Experience with Cloud Pak for Data platform and its services such as Cognos Analytics, DataStage, Watson Query (Data Virtualization), Watson Knowledge Catalog, Apache Spark, IBM Automatic Data Lineage, Data Observability, Watson Studio and Data Refinery.
- Fluent in English
- You must be elegible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality is required).
