Job description

How you will help

As a Data Product Manager at HealthVerity, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering Data Products that make a difference. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, Data Product Design, Engineering, Data Partnerships, Pricing, Delivery, and Commercial Operations—to bring innovative and impactful Data Products to market, inspiring growth for the business.

You’ll connect directly with our core customers and their unique personas across the pharmaceutical, government, pharma services, and data partner sectors, ensuring that their voices and needs are integrated into our product development process. By maintaining a customer-first approach, you’ll help ensure our products are not only innovative but also deeply relevant and meaningful.

As a product leader, you’ll bring best practices to life in ways that are tailored to HealthVerity’s mission, crafting Data Products that not only address customer pain points but also align with our company’s core values and vision.

What you will do

  • Product Management: Develop and execute thoughtful roadmaps for one or more data product areas, aligning with HealthVerity's business objectives while prioritizing customer delight.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with teams across the product lifecycle—from concept to launch—partnering with Data Product Design, Data Product Engineering, and other stakeholders. You’ll also help manage the data product backlog, using Agile methodologies to keep projects on track.
  • Client Engagement: Work closely with our enterprise clients, building relationships to understand their unique challenges and actively incorporating their feedback into our product life cycle to ensure we meet and exceed market needs.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators, helping to measure and enhance the success of our Data Products.
  • Market Research and Insights: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement, helping us stay responsive to emerging market needs.

How success is defined

  • Effective Product Launches: Delivering products on time, with high adoption and usability, and meeting roadmap milestones.
  • High Customer Satisfaction: Gathering positive feedback, improving customer retention, and successfully incorporating customer insights into the product.
  • Business Impact: Driving revenue growth through new products or enhancements and helping HealthVerity stand out in the market.
  • Seamless Cross-Functional Collaboration: Building strong relationships with teams across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Design to drive efficient product development.
  • Strategic Influence and Advocacy: Successfully championing product needs and customer insights within the organization, aligning product strategy with business goals.

Required skills and experience

  • Experience in technical data analysis and translating technical concepts, especially in the healthcare space. Skills in tools like Excel, SQL, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are beneficial
  • Healthcare data expert across various data types (e.g. open/closed claims, inpatient/ambulatory EMR, commercial labs, social determinants, etc.) and codified healthcare data standards (e.g. ICD, CPT, HCPCS, CVX, LOINC, NUCC, NPPES, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the product lifecycle from discovery to launch and beyond
  • Understanding of product management best practices and principles, even if you haven’t held a formal product owner or manager title
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) and experience collaborating with development teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills that make complex ideas accessible to a diverse audience

Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $90,000 - 150,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
