Position Summary:
Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full time Recruiter on our Fond du Lac Campus. This position provides the outreach, recruitment, and initial retention of program students through direct contact and assistance from application to registration. Extensive travel in the MPTC District is required. Flexible scheduling may be required to include evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate will have an Associate Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications (or a related field) and three years of related occupational experience.

Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance to prospective students to facilitate successful entry and enrollment in MPTC programs, courses, and services. Represent Moraine Park’s seamless education opportunities.
• Plan and carry out outreach and marketing activities for the adult and secondary school markets. Develop related promotional materials including website content.
• Coordinate and conduct on- and off-campus student recruitment and admission activities, such as awareness tours, Discover Moraine Park, College Preview Day, and Counselor Inservice. Collaborate with Academics and business and industry to cultivate college enrollment for incumbent employees.
• Assist with dual enrollment initiatives and coordinate Start College Now with high schools.
• Maintain systematic and deliberate contact with the inquiry/prospect pool, assisting individuals from application to registration. Qualify leads, track event conversions, and maintain overall conversion goals. Follow up with prospects from point of contact to application and registration, in collaboration with advising.
• Utilize student tracking information to identify and perform recruitment activities and enrollment services. Seek new avenues to proactively recruit the appropriate students to MPTC.
• Facilitate an exceptional student experience and support the enrollment-conversion objectives of the work team by specializing in the internal recruitment of customers and targeting undeclared students into dedicated programs of study. Assist prospective students with career coaching.
• Collaborate with Veterans Services to assist in military recruitment efforts on and off campus.
• Foster linkages with other teams in the College for improved services, communication, and the delivery of recruitment and retention activities. Act as a representative to internal/external teams and advisory groups that share services or interests with Enrollment Services.
• Provide general information and personalized assistance to the public related to instructional offerings and support services at MPTC.
Experience & Qualifications(in addition to those listed in the summary):
• Familiarity with educational settings, general public relations, and the mission of technical colleges.
• Knowledge of presentation technologies, and educational and general software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies and database systems, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM).
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, including to large audiences, as well as, customer service, organizational, planning, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction. Experience applying them in a promotional setting.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in a post-secondary educational setting in admissions, marketing or recruitment.
• Experience in sales and marketing.
• Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish in professional settings.
Other Position Requirements:
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible scheduling may be required to include evenings and weekends.
Hiring Range: $25.45-$29.94
Starting: February 2024
Workplace Flexibility: Limited work from home upon approval
Hours/Schedule/Travel: Academic: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (37.5 hours), Summer: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (34 hours), Extensive travel in the MPTC District
