Our opportunity:

The Vice President of Public Relations will lead strategic efforts to elevate and safeguard the company's brand and reputation across a competitive and dynamic landscape. This role is responsible for designing a comprehensive PR strategy that aligns with business goals and amplifies the company’s vision. Working closely with executive leadership, the VP will build and strengthen relationships with media, industry analysts, and influencers to secure high-impact coverage and establish thought leadership across business, technology, and financial platforms.

This leader will oversee content development, executive communications, and thought leadership programs, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. In addition, the VP will proactively manage crisis communication and lead a high-performing PR team, developing talent and maximizing resources.

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

Strategic Leadership, Brand and Reputation Building 

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with our business objectives and product roadmap 
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to craft and communicate the company's vision and messaging 
  • Identifying opportunities to elevate our brand and establish thought leadership across business, tech and financial press 

Media Relations 

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key media outlets, industry analysts, and influencers 
  • Achieving standout visibility in a fast-paced, complex, and competitive market
  • Securing high-impact media coverage and speaking opportunities for company executives 

Content Development 

  • Overseeing the creation of compelling PR materials, including press releases, bylined articles, and executive speeches 
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels 
  • Developing and executing a thought leadership program for company executives 

Executive Communications 

  • Proactive development of executive reputation and visibility 
  • Building and driving executive communications plans across key channels (e.g., PR, speakerships, social, investor conferences) 
  • Partnering with executives on these plans, help shape their platforms and increase their proficiency as spokespeople 

Crisis Communications 

  • Proactively identifying areas or risk and proactively develops crisis communications plans and cross-functional teams in advance 
  • Reacting quickly and navigating sensitive situations 

Team Management 

  • Building and leading a high-performing PR team, including in-house staff and external agencies 
  • Mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential 
  • Managing PR budget and resources effectively 

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus 
  • 10+ years of Public Relations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role 
  • Proven track record in B2B technology or SaaS PR 
  • Strong network of media contacts and industry influencers 

You excel in these key competencies: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically – not afraid to get your hands dirty 
  • Strong collaborator, but able to take input, make crisp decisions and communicate them 
  • Experience managing and developing PR teams 
  • This leader should possess strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities and approaches. Equally important, they should be hands-on, willing to dive into execution to test and refine their strategies

The base salary range for this position in California, New York, and Washington is $270,000 – $290,000 and outside of those locations is $260,000 – 280,000 a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
