Summary of Job Duties:
The Senior Clinical Therapist at the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Adolescent Substance Abuse Program, "Six Bridges Clinic," provides direct clinical services including diagnostic assessment, individual, family, and group therapy, and crisis intervention using evidence-based interventions. Services are typically in-office unless remote work is agreed upon hire. The role involves working under the Clinical Therapist Supervisor, Program Manager, and/or Clinic Medical Director, with responsibilities in treatment planning, mental health diagnosis, and adaptable technological skills. The therapist must communicate effectively with their supervisor and treatment team, complete clinical and administrative tasks per policy, and engage in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and continuing education to maintain care quality and professional licensure.

**This position also includes the ability to apply for the HRSA (Health Resources and Services) grant for reimbursement for prior student loans.**

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field

  • Current and valid license by Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of direct clinical outpatient behavioral health experience

  • Evidence-based treatment background, trauma-informed care model


Additional Information:

 Responsibilities:

  • Administers direct clinical services including diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention.

  • Completes mandated reporting in compliance with legal and professional standards and guidelines.

  • Coordinates care and services by documenting and communicating processes with treatment teams.

  • Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Conducts medical record reviews, treatment outcomes projects, and program development projects; completes service-related documentation.

  • Works with administrative support and utilization management to facilitate scheduling, review authorization of services, and transfer or refer clients to other programs.

  • Provides indirect supervision of mental health paraprofessional members of treatment team for clients and direct supervision of social work interns.

  • Participates in regularly scheduled and as-needed departmental and program staff meetings, training, and supervision and continuing education activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
