xScion is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst, to join our team for a SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint online migration project. As the Business Analyst, you will play a key role in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and processes related to the migration project. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the migration aligns with business objectives, enhances user experience, and delivers maximum value to the organization.


As a Senior Business Analyst, You will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements for the SharePoint migration project.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of current SharePoint 2016 environment, including content, workflows, permissions, and customizations.
  • Document business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for the SharePoint Online migration.
  • Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in the migration process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of migration tools and methodologies, considering business needs and project constraints.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that migrated content and functionality meet business requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support to end users and stakeholders during and after the migration process, addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct post-migration reviews and assessments to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.


To Be Successful, You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience and proven experience as a Business Analyst working on SharePoint migration projects, preferably from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint architecture, features, and functionalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with business process modeling, requirements elicitation, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
  • SharePoint certification or training is desirable but not required.
  • US Citizenship required.
