Starting base salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. Full benefits are available and this position is eligible for the Staff level annual bonus program.
Summary of Position:
AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to join our Content Delivery team. You will work directly with our content staff and digital product team, focusing on web production initiatives and assisting with a variety of digital content projects.
Do you have some snappy coding skills (think things like HTML and CSS) and a drive to make digital platforms more functional? Do you enjoy the opportunity to break out of your technical side and contribute engaging content to help others learn about important technology? This position is best suited for someone who is looking to grow their career creating web content and optimizing the user experience using both technical abilities and writing skills. Bonus points if you’re passionate about technology (AV or otherwise)!

What will you do?
Working closely with the managers of both digital product and content, your focus will be assisting the content delivery team with various site maintenance, technical SEO, and content creation tasks.
Here’s what that entails:
- Maintaining the queue of web edit requests for AVIXA.org, ranging from simple content edits to the creation of new pages
- Refreshing content on our websites (primarily AVIXA.org and our community, AVIXA Xchange) to optimize for search
- Working closely with web developers to learn and improve on the functionality of our current CMS (Sitefinity)
- Collaborating on initiatives to improve user experience on digital platforms
- Creating content for AVIXA.org as well as for AVIXA Xchange, such as articles or landing pages
Who are you?
- A highly organized person who thrives with minimal direction
- An expert at managing multiple projects at once – you are comfortable switching between assignments while having the ability to determine priority and make appropriate progress on the most important tasks
- A great writer and/or content creator – you are used to composing content for a variety of needs and audiences and can communicate in a way that is easily consumable for your audience (Writing for an audience focused on building technical skills and knowledge is a plus!)
- A curious person with a strong desire for continuous learning and proactively identifies opportunities and suggests solutions
- A stickler for details who can catch errors in both code and content
- A hard worker who wants to join a fun and unique team (bonus if you have any interesting hobbies or love food as much as we do!)
Education:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience are prioritized. College/education may be considered alongside direct experience.
Experience Level:
- Internship or entry-level experience in content or web production preferred; Any AV experience is a bonus!
Technical Skills:
- Testable knowledge of HTML and CSS, experience working with at least one CMS preferred
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices for digital content
- Experience using a project management platform (Clickup, Workfront, etc.)
- Experience with an SEO tool such as Semrush or Ahrefs is a bonus
- Experience with Google Analytics or other digital metrics platforms is ideal, but not required
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite
