Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Stays up to date on the progress of all projects, managing numerous projects simultaneously. Ensures projects stay on track to achieve energy goals and program requirements. Enters data into appropriate databases.
   
• Provisional Emissions Ratings: Prepare well-to-gate GHG emissions studies and submit on behalf of a client an application for Provisional-Emissions-Rating (PER) with Department of Energy (DOE) for ultimate use in a Section 48E Clean Energy Investment Tax Credit or Section 45Y Clean Energy Production Tax Credit. This requires the ability to take a Class Three (10-40% complete) FEED Study (front-end-engineering & design) and score the lifecycle GHG analysis based upon the R&D GREET (GHG Regulatory Emissions & Energy Technology) lifecycle model sponsored by the Argonne National Laboratory (DOE).
   
• Energy Incentives: Assist clients with questions involving both engineering and tax considerations (up to and including GREET analysis above) for Sections 45V Clean Hydrogen (e.g. Three Pillars), 45Q Carbon Sequestration, and 45X Advanced Manufacturing.
   
• Energy Cost-Segregation: Capable of conducting a cost estimate or fixed asset review of energy properties within complex systems such as identifying costs related to geothermal, thermal energy, waste-heat, cogeneration, gasification & combustion, bifacial PV roofing, and other FEED or GREET related analysis.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and one to three years of tax related or equivalent energy tax experience.
• Alternatively, can consider three to five years of industry experience with industrial and petrochemical gas involving applications and calculation of greenhouse gas emissions.
• Must have excellent organization and time management skills, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn and be a team player.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Licensed as a PE (Professional Engineer) in one or more states is a plus.
• EA or CPA desired, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training peers and checking work for accuracy and completeness.

Compensation Disclosure:

• For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $74,800.00 - $93,500.00
• For other California based locations, the base salary hiring range for this position is $68,600.00 - $85,800.00
• For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $65,500.00 - $81,950.00
• For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $68,600.00 - $85,800.00
• For other Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $65,500.00 - $81,950.00
• For New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $74,800.00 - $93,500.00
• For other New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $62,300.00 - $77,550.00
• For Washington based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $68,600.00 - $85,800.00
