Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to support our customers on all the aspects of their real-world engineering simulation projects and integration of Ansys software in their design workflows and grow Ansys’ business. You will use advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical post-sales support, find solutions to a wide variety of technical challenges and channel customer feedback to improve Ansys products. You will be a part of our positive, dynamic team of enthusiastic and passionate engineers striving to deliver highest quality solutions to our customers, advancing your pervasive simulation knowledge, experience, and your impact on the success of our customers and Ansys.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure high Customer Satisfaction and Customer Success that enable customers' usage/deployment/adoption of Ansys Electronics and Electromagnetic software tools ( HFSS 3D Layout and SIwave) for PCB applications.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and specialization on Ansys simulation products and SI/PI applications.
  • Deploy and exploit the full Ansys Technical Support Toolset to complement your own engineering expertise and knowledge of simulation to assist customers in solving their engineering problems and enabling their usage of Ansys products.
    • The Ansys Technical Support Toolset includes Ansys Innovation Space, AnsysGPT and other Ansys AI-based platforms introduced to assist with identifying and delivering the most relevant answers to customers' problems
    • Ensure customers' ability to get accurate answers faster than a human-only system, resulting in high Ansys customers' satisfaction.
  • Share your extensive knowledge and experience by creating & updating content for your Primary Focus Area to ensure the most relevant help and information is available for customers and internal colleagues.
  • Create and execute repeatable workflows for data capture, processing, and deployment for support through the Ansys Technical Support Toolset.
  • Lead and initiate team projects (e.g. content creation, process deployment, etc.).
  • Evaluate the Ansys AI-based support platforms' effectiveness by analyzing the AI-based responses to answer customers' questions, specifically on the accuracy/relevance and subsequent corresponding human corrections.
  • Submit suggestions for product improvement, when needed. File defect reports and verify fixes adhering to defect reporting processes. Participate in field testing of new releases to ensure that new features and workflows will address customer requirements. 
  • Participate in other strategic team and company initiatives, on an as needed basis.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Electrical/Electromagnetic Engineering or related field
  • Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
  • Product expert in one or more Ansys Electronics or Electromagnetics based simulation tools
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3
  • Experience with application of electromagnetic simulation for package, board, system level modeling is a plus 
  • 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles associated with using engineering simulation software, where the ability to identify customer requirements, effectively communicate solutions, and deliver results have been demonstrated 
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of time
