Job description

Salary Range: $135,000 - $175,000 
Location: This role is remote eligible.  
However, we have offices in Washington, DC, and NYC. Our in-office teams come together for collaborative work in the office Tuesday through Thursday and work remotely on Monday and Friday.

Your Mission: 
Your mission is to spearhead the expansion and enhancement of our existing Medium and Heavy-Duty (MHD) EV Truck capabilities, including end-to-end strategies and full lifecycle processes. As a key driver in this endeavor, you will be responsible for communicating our organization's MHD vehicle requirements to a diverse spectrum of stakeholders, including Manufacturers (OEMs), Dealers, and Industry Upfitters. In close collaboration with both our Sales and Customer Success team, your role is pivotal in comprehending our market demand for MHD trucks and effectively communicating this information to the industry, while ensuring a well-coordinated approach to supply, upfitting, timing, vehicle pricing, compliance, and remarketing. 

You’ll be working as part of the Fleet Operations and Administration team and will report to Neil Schamus, EVP of Fleet Operations.

What You’ll Be Responsible for In Your Role:
  • Create and continuously refine procurement strategies for Electric Vehicle (EVs) Trucks to ensure they are cost-effective and aligned with our customer needs. 
  • Work with approved vendors, capture and communicate all related details from procurement through delivery, inclusive of truck upfitting needs and logistics. 
  • Strategize to find cost effective vehicles and suppliers, through rigorous pricing negotiations. 
  • Foster, maintain, and expand relationships with Inspiration’s OEM and Dealer truck suppliers and upfitters, to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain. 
  • Partner with our customers (lessees) to ensure that the Inspiration Truck portfolio is compliant with existing regulations, including but not limited to, Registration and Title, Driver monitoring and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. 
  • Provide customers guidance on truck procurement and lifecycle management best practices, insights on industry trends, and strategies to mitigate macro environment risks. These risks could include regulatory changes, supply chain disruptions, and market value fluctuations. 
  • Capture and deliver comprehensive information and data related to Inspiration's Truck fleet, making it accessible for cross-team consumption. This includes reports, analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Work with the Director of Fleet Operations, assist with the planning and build out of the Fleet Procurement team, to support our entire vehicle portfolio growth. 

  • Who You Are:
  • You have a minimum of 8+ years of medium and heavy-duty vehicle procurement experience for leased fleets and are fluent in the pricing terms that support the purchase of Trucks through an OEM or Dealer. 
  • You are experienced in managing relationships with truck upfitters and in medium and heavy-duty remarketing. 
  • You have strong knowledge in the regulations that are encompassed in truck fleet compliance. 
  • You are incredibly attentive to detail and understand the importance of data integrity. 
  • You can work independently and are an excellent collaborator with cross functional teams such as Sales, Finance and Customer Success.
