Projects

50% of workload has been automated, the goal is to transition the remaining
Set up customised automation scripts to tackle specific manual routines and improve team productivity
Working closely with the Engineering, Product & Data teams to understand their goals (when it comes to automation testing) educate and manage their expectations
Maintain API & UI automation suites that contain test scenarios using Cucumber / Playwright / Gherkin

Responsibilities

Developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults and reviewing QA reports
QA checklist, RCA (root cause analysis) process and multiple key QA indicators for quality tracking
Design automation scripts and ensure scripts are executable on CICD tool
Define and improve testing practices, tools, and processes with the goal of verifying new features and preventing regressions

Team & Culture

Reporting to the CTO you will be the senior in a QA team of 2
This in an Individual Contributor role that mentors and provide guidance & training to 1 other QA
Drive initiatives, be proactive and not wait for instructions (There is not an SOP for everything)
Weekly 1-2-1 with the CTO to discuss strategy, plan / priorities - you are expected to lead the conversation

Must Have

3-4 years in automation testing, any automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG etc)
Experience in Start-up / Scale-up / Scrum & Agile environment
Clearly articulate benefits of automation relative to your experience, projects & achievements (*add to your CV)

Nice to have

Levels

This is a mid-senior level, you will have 10-15 years engineering experience and 3-4 in automation testing.
In 1 years time there is potential for promotion and to lead a newly formed testing team
