ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will be required to provide accurate weather forecasts for sporting fixtures across the world, analysing and interpreting observational and forecast model data to ensure teams across Star Lizard are always in receipt of the most accurate and up-to-date information available.
As well as providing a modal forecast, the candidate will need to understand the variance around the central expectation for the weather. Forecasting is on a global scale and ranges from intra-day to seasonal in scope. Alongside regular verbal updates, comprehensive written reports are required. The successful candidate will largely work independently and so a proactive, professional and energetic approach is necessary. The timing of the work will be dictated by the sporting calendar, and so candidates will need to be willing to work at weekends and some anti-social hours.
