Job description

Overview:

The Global Compensation Analyst with a focus on cost estimates plays an important part in ensuring the integrity of completing cost estimates, reviewing clients’ policies, sourcing relocation data benefits, preparation, and completion of both global and domestic cost estimates, and understanding of procedures and tax laws. Scope of responsibilities include the preparation and calculation of estimated cost for global assignments and domestic relocations along with process documentation, sourcing policy benefits, and understanding of the assignment/relocation policies. 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of US domestic and global cost estimates with consideration of tax implications
  • Other duties may include preparation of initial compensation worksheets/balance sheets, compensation accumulation, shadow payroll processing, payroll instructions global payroll contacts per each pay cycle, reconciliation of payroll data to client payroll data, and all other activities necessary to present total global compensation at year-end
  • Implements internal control procedures as needed to assure the accuracy and completeness of data while balancing with efficiency
  • Monitor cost estimate shared mailbox and respond to queries as necessary
  • Prepare new cost estimates based on policy type, employee demographics, complete self-review audit
  • Ensure back-up data source information is compiled and saved for reference retrieval
  • Audit cost estimates and provide feedback as needed
  • Send completed documents to requestor
  • Upload completed documents to database and update deliverables log
  • Complete audit of tax calculations from tax provider against completed cost estimate and determine if revisions are required
  • Create/update process documentation based on process or policy changes as needed
  • Participate in process related discussion meetings as needed
  • Assist with training team members and special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in global compensation and/or assignment/relocation consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR, International Management, or a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to ability to identify problems, analytical thinking, attention to details, and flexibility to make key decisions in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent Excel skills including creating formulas, v-lookups, and pivot tables
  • Experience working within a cross-functional global environment, conflict resolution, and foster a great rapport for teamwork
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for client presentations and internal/external correspondences
  • Understanding of worldwide tax and social security liabilities would be an advantage
  • Strong aptitude for mathematical concepts and analysis
  • Prior payroll knowledge and/or experience would be preferred.
