Job description

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) process owner to join an exciting contract project at a global Energy and manufacturing client

As a Software Asset Management (SAM) process owner, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of software assets in an organization. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, optimizes software use, manages licenses for maximum value, and mitigates risks. Additionally, the SAM Process Owner aligns software asset management processes with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Process Ownership: Develop and maintain SAM processes and policies.
* Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with licensing and regulations through regular reviews and audits.
* Asset Tracking: Keep an accurate inventory of software assets, using tools to improve accuracy and access.
* Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and partner with procurement for efficient license management.
* Audit Preparation: Prepare for audits with necessary documentation and address findings.
* Reporting: Present software asset reports to senior management for strategic decisions.
* Continuous Improvement: Enhance SAM processes and tools, aligning with best practices.
* Training and Awareness: Provide training on SAM policies and best practices.

What we are looking for:
* Functional Knowledge and experience with: IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, License Management, Software LifeCycle Management, Application Portfolio Management, CMDB
* Experience in writing and updating technical documents, policies, and standards.
* Ability to identify and address gaps in organizational SAM practices.
* Technical knowledge--Knowledge of Service Management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, CMDB)

Contract details for the role
* Start date: ASAP.
* Duration: 12+ Months with extensions
* Remote in EU
* Agreement: (40 hours per week.)
