Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline (Priority for: data engineering, AI Engineering or Data Science).
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and contributing to AI-focused projects, preferably in areas like knowledge representation, reasoning, knowledge graphs and ontology development.
  • Proficiency in backend programming (Python is warmly welcomed), with practical experience in building and maintaining software solutions.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, with the ability to actively participate in discussions on software architecture and engineering methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing software engineers.
  • Strong background in coaching and mentoring engineers with a focus on fostering their professional growth.
  • Professional fluency in English.

  • Nice to have
  • Experience in implementing and deploying AI and data solutions in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, demonstrating proficiency in utilizing cloud-based tools and services for scalable, robust applications and AI pipelines.
  • Experience with semantic technologies, such as RDF and OWL for designing and managing knowledge-based systems.
  • Practical expertise in working with graph database engines, with a focus on optimizing performance and enabling complex data relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with privacy standards such as SOC2, ISO, and GDPR, ensuring compliance and data protection throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated experience working in the healthcare domain, such as healthcare technology, clinical systems, patient care platforms, or health data analytics.


  • Team leadership, strategic planning and execution
  • Support other Engineering Managers in driving key initiatives that improve our core processes and domain. Build strong relationships with team members, understanding their backgrounds and professional growth aspirations, and offer personalized support through diverse development techniques.

  • Technical oversight
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and optimize the software development life cycle (SDLC). Lead audit preparations and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will lead a technical product team, responsible for its own product. Your expertise, innovative ideas, and ability to foster a culture of innovation will be critical to the team's success. You will have significant autonomy in shaping and driving the product's direction.

  • Cross-collaboration and communication
  • You will collaborate with fellow engineering managers to implement company-wide engineering practices and drive initiatives that strengthen and promote our engineering culture.
