Responsibilities

This Role Falls Within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution Which Focuses On Contracting For The Supplies And Services That Meet The Criteria Determined By Caregivers. This Group Also Continuously Develops Innovative Approaches To Contracting To Further Drive Savings. Information About The Responsibilities For This Role Can Be Found Below:

  • Engages the specified manager(s) and Resource Group leaders in aligning contract opportunities with the mission and strategies of sites of care
  • Leads and supports the development of contracting efforts through end-user engagement by collecting attributes for contracted products and services
  • Utilizes eSourcing tools to develop Request for Information (RFI) or Proposal (RFP) with an aim towards gathering relevant attribute data and other information required to support Strategic Sourcing projects
  • Discovers and discusses contracting implications, challenges, and other potential details with Sourcing agent counterpart prior to negotiations
  • Presents findings to team members and collects feedback on the professional and clinicals acceptability, along with overall values. Repeats the process until end-users have agreed upon acceptable suppliers.
  • Helps measure and monitor cost-reduction opportunities through contract development and modifications in utilization; supports associated work plans
  • Facilitates communication of clinically or operationally relevant information such as related product recalls/alerts, clinical benefits and educational opportunities, contract announcements and other communication strategies
  • Supports ongoing contract lifecycle management resolving matters pertaining to performance, commercial terms, payments, etc.
  • Responsible for facilitating the identification and development of national contracting strategies for Information Technology (“IT”) that support Ascension
  • Works in close collaboration with Ascension Technologies senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Advances the development of technology contracts and pricing agreements through end-user engagement as assigned (user groups/Decision Teams)
  • Serves as the contract administrator for contracts within assigned contract categories
  • Acts as the escalation point for supplier issues as they pertain to the contracts by collaborating closely with counterparts in Ascension Technologies, The Resource Group Sourcing, and end-users

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required.
  • 5 years of experience preferred.
  • 1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.

  • A Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in supporting an IT organization through either a direct technology role or through a supporting role or function that supports an IT organization
  • Professional working proficiency of Google Workspace applications (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc)
  • Understanding of IT fundamentals such as Cloud Computing, SaaS platforms, data sharing, solution implementation and integration, IT related deal structures, and software licensing methodologies
