This position will provide exceptional clinical operations by planning, implementing, controlling, improving and evaluating clinical operations; building an effective clinical operations team; training, educating, and mentoring supervisory staff in leadership and management; inspiring clinical staff to achieve quality patient care and other goals; meeting clinical and organizational standards continuously; maintaining clinical operational readiness, responding and deploying effectively; achieving operational safety; preserving assets and profitability; creating a positive public image; leading as a member of the executive leadership team to achieve mission and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in EMS, Emergency Management, Management, Business, Education, Public Health or other related field.
2. Obtain National Registry of Paramedic Certification within three (3) months of hire.
3. West Virginia Office of EMS Paramedic Certification within three (3) months of hire.
4. Valid Driver’s License.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years of experience as a Paramedic.
2. Three (3) years of supervisory (Supervising EMS Officer) experience which included scheduling, operations, human resources, system management, program development and implementation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Master’s Degree in EMS, Public Health, Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other related field.
2. Credentialed EMS Officer (Supervising EMS Officer, Managing EMS Officer, Fellow).
3. Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C, FP-C, UMBC CCP).
4. Certification in efficiency program (LEAN, Six Sigma, Project Management).
EXPERIENCE:
1. At least Five (5) years as a supervisor (Supervising EMS Officer).
2. At least Two (2) years of management (Managing EMS Officer).
