Job Title: ProFee coding Audit/EducatorsPart-Time/Per Diem

Location: Remote

We are hiring part-time, per diem, ProFee Coding Audit/Educators to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting professional coding audits, providing 1:1 coder education, and delivering both large and small group education sessions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct professional coding audits and support accurate audit reports.
  • Assist in the preparation or execution of physician/coder education for Gebbs.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of federal, state, and payer-specific regulations to audit client charts and billing.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for documentation improvement, preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding audit findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform coding audits and education for a large academic multi-specialty health system.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with EPIC EMR.
  • Coding certifications through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CCS-P).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing professional coding audits.
  • Strong knowledge of coding disciplines, including Professional Coding, Audit, and Education.
  • In-depth understanding of medical terminology, medical billing, and payment methodologies (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, E/M).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procedure and diagnostic coding for professional services, including Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise with the 2021 Evaluation and Management Documentation guidelines.
  • Ability to conduct high-quality coding audits using both manual and technology-enhanced audit tools.
  • Knowledge of quality metrics and a commitment to enforcing standards.
  • Multi-specialty coding expertise with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines under pressure with initiative, tact, and poise.
