Description

Responsible for overseeing the processing of payroll for over 1000 employees on a biweekly basis in multiple states while providing excellent customer service for employees. Ensures accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Ensures proper governmental reporting and compliance. Prepares statistical reports as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Models the AP Code of Conduct and demonstrates a commitment to the AP Compliance Program, standards and policies.
  • Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes.
  • Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the payroll department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software. PayCom experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using DataPro Accounting Software a plus

    Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Typical Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
