Job purpose:

The Social Media Manager will develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to engage audiences, drive brand awareness, and promote our clients’ unique identities across platforms. This role will execute content creation and paid media across key social media networks, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and TikTok. The ideal candidate is a proactive, trend-savvy individual with strong bilingual (English and Spanish) copywriting skills and a keen understanding of both local and global social media trends within our clients’ industries.


Job details: 

  • Location: Remote – Open to candidates based in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Central America Time Zone).
  • Type: Full-Time Professional Services Agreement.
  • Availability: Immediate availability preferred.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Spanish: Native.
    • English: Intermediate proficiency (C1/C2).


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Content Creation and Copywriting:
    • Objective: Deliver high-quality, engaging content that resonates with target audiences and aligns with each client’s brand.
    • Plan, create, and schedule original content (posts, images, videos) tailored for each social platform.
    • Write engaging, on-brand copy in English and Spanish for social posts, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
    • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure cohesive visuals and copy across all content.
  2. Research and Trends Analysis:
    • Objective: Keep social media content fresh, relevant, and aligned with current industry trends.
    • Conduct ongoing research to stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
    • Identify and analyze global and local trends relevant to clients’ industries, finding ways to incorporate these trends into social content.
    • Monitor competitor social media activities and analyze content performance to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  3. Paid Media Management and Execution:
    • Objective: Execute effective paid media strategies to reach target audiences and drive measurable results.
    • Develop and manage social media ad campaigns on Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn, and TikTok for Business.
    • Optimize ads based on performance data, adjusting targeting, budgeting, and creatives to maximize ROI.
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align campaign objectives with broader marketing goals.
  4. Social Media Analytics and Reporting:
    • Objective: Measure and report on social media performance to guide strategy and demonstrate ROI.
    • Use social media analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Buffer to track KPIs, analyze engagement, and identify content performance trends.
    • Generate monthly reports on social media metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
    • Monitor and interpret engagement metrics to refine strategies and improve content relevance.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration and Project Management:
    • Objective: Ensure seamless execution and alignment of social media strategies with other departments.
    • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and account management teams to align social media activities with broader client goals.
    • Use project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or Notion to plan, track, and report on content schedules and campaigns.
    • Manage timelines, workflows, and resources for social media campaigns, ensuring timely and effective execution.


Required Academic Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing or a related field, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.


Required Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media management or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in content creation, copywriting, and community management.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with exceptional writing skills in both languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Meta Business Manager, TikTok for Business, and social media analytics tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or Notion.
  • Experience using AI tools to optimize the content creation processes and leverage efficiency.
  • Experience using Canvas to create base content for static and animated post
